Once again we would like to thank Kevin for allowing us back into the gaol, after a very successful first visit. Kevin runs the Arundel drama zone ghost experience, which is very successful indeed and fun for all the family. If your interested email him to see when he'll be running it, it's worth a visit. After meeting with Kevin for the handover of keys and arrangements etc.... We quickly had some much needed nourishment, fish and chips! Followed by a brisk stroll around this lovely picturesque town, then back inside to set up equipment. Craig and Clint D set up the infa red camera around the corridor pointing toward the solitary cell, straight away before we even started recording the monitor was giving us some very interesting light anomalies indeed.

This time around, instead of grouping people up and separating we decided to wander freely and have extended vigils, making sure we each had a sensitive within reach, and as many cameras as possible in hand. It wasn't too long before we heard very forceful footsteps, from above us on street level. At first this was disclosed as people walking down the street, as this was around pub closing time. However in the morning Kevin seemed to believe that the footsteps weren't along were we thought they were, the magistrates court is directly above us. Interesting as throughout the night we heard constant dragging, and footsteps coming from above. Kevin again the following day ensured us no one is above during the night. He was right, why would there be anyone dragging and slamming things above us around 02.00 in the morning?!

It wasn't long before attention turned to Liz and Angie who were by our camera near the solitary cell, and seemed to be getting mild knocks in reply to questions they were asking, we all heard it for ourselves. There may have been simple explanations for this, but the knocks seemed to be too accurate. Soon a majority of the group squeezed into the solitary cell, to see what could be found, Liz and Angie joined in. Both Liz and Angie seemed to pick up on one or two presences in the room which made one or two members seem quite edgy. Angie seemed to think that one entity was moving around the cell particularly fond of the females. There also seemed to be a considerable temperature drop in here too, odd as we were all cramped in together. More attention was attracted when we seemed to be getting light anomalies in the cell with us, however our excitement was short lived when Clint S revealed that it was the battery light on our thermometers.

A look inside the oppressive solitary cell.

Before we knew it, was time for a well earned break, and prep our séance. We had found a very large round table outside the gaol when we arrived, this would be perfect for us, throw in candles and incense too, and we're ready to go. Cameras were set up in their correct places pointing toward our table, we then took up our positions. After learning new techniques before our séances and vigils we seemed to be all relaxed and in tune with one another, Angie seemed to think that something was around us, but was holding back. After almost an hour, we blew out the candles and were plunged into darkness. At this point we were all so relaxed, but concentrating on the matter in hand, April and Adel raised the point that they could hear an off key silent humming coming from behind a closed door somewhere that sounded very much like a child, very eerie indeed. The following morning Kevin confirmed that the ghost of a little girl haunts the jail.....enough said! If that wasn't bad enough, we were the "treated" to what can only be described as a loud, movement or snapping sound that you would associate with someone entering a room, or something wishing to make it's prescence felt. This made the entire group jump at the table and hold on very tight to whomever they were next to. This was then followed by shuffling footsteps behind Adel and April, that seemed to pace around the table, whatever was holding back, had certainly come forward now. At this point a couple of members described what they thought was a figure, or mist that stood about 6 foot tall, it seemed to be lighting up the cell and moving, bearing in mind it's pitch black!

After this excitement the adrenaline was running overtime, time to break and time for much needed caffeine and snacks. As soon as Hayley and Liz left the table, and wandered toward the kitchen area, they both became instantly spooked by what they described as a dark tall figure, in the doorway. this unsettled them, especially after what we had all just been through.

Excited discussions over tea & coffee after our eventful séance.

After the séance and our refreshments. We continued with our vigils, wandering in and out of cells to catch what we could. Lots of orbs and anomalies caught on film, some could be identified as bugs or insects, others couldn't be as easily explained. As the night rolled into the early morning, we began to tire and people took to their beds, or chairs for the night, in some cases people spent the night in the cells, this can be quite unnerving if you suddenly wake up and wonder where you are I can tell you!

Notice two orbs one mid right of the picture the other more to the left in front of Franco standing in the door.

Before we knew it it was time to have our wake up coffees, and began to pack up, pleased once again by a very productive and active evening in this amazing facility. Kevin arrived bang on cue and seemed very interested in our findings. When we explained about the mist, or figure seen in one of the cells during the séance , Kevin told us that the particular cell was the most active and normally is when he does his drama zones. He told us that whenever he has groups in, particularly after our previous visit, he says that things fly all over the place, objects move, bang and slam, and people on the tours see cloaked figures wandering around. I think we can say it's one of our favourite locations, and welcome any chance to go back.

Many thanks once again to Kevin at the Arundel drama zone, for making us so welcome and trusting us with the place. We greatly appreciate it, we really do. Of course thanks to whomever decide to join us that night....we wouldn't have been scared without you!

Thanks to all our members and guests,
