What a night! This place is a hotbed of activity indeed certain unexplainable events occurred pretty much as we arrived. SPRG will not be disclosing many of our findings in detail in this report so other groups can enjoy their visits or visitors just passing through will not be so spooked.

After meeting with Kevin for our handover, (Kevin runs the Arundel Gaol drama group) It was time for the usual setup of triggers and equipment it was around this time that Liz and Ange went into the solitary cell to try and channel into the energies of which they had told us was very very high indeed. Ghosts are supposed to feed off electrical impulses and electrical sources as well as residual energy, during the setup three members lost battery power in their mobile phones all around the same time, and one members fully charged digital camera just would not work, a few hours later we lost a torch too, more on that incident later. So already we can see that something was going on here without further ado it was 21:00 and we were ready to go dark and get underway! and believe us when we tell you, its very dark, no light at all.

The group split up so we had adequate coverage in each of the rooms, one of the cells seemed to be extremely active during the first vigil, in cell "a" were Garry, Adele, Clint D and Liz, Garry seemed to pick up a variety of orbs, and temperature fluctuations were noted too. Amazingly we then heard what seemed to be a dragging noise across the main area of the gaol followed by consecutive knocks and rattles, two members in the cell noticed cracks of light above the cell door which seems to bounce of the walls, interesting as remember no light from above ground could possibly make it into the gaol.

Ironically the other groups heard similar noise phenomena too. One group in another cell seemed to control what ever was making a knocking sound by calling out, very interesting indeed. Another group seemed to recall a noise of shuffling feet in the main gaol area.

The solitary cell where inmates would spend their painful last days before their execution.

After everyone had their turns in the cells, it was time to prep the séance of which we decided to hold under the main arch in the centre of the gaol, it was whilst this was being prepped that Clint D and Garry were exploring another cell, that a shelf of books flung of the wall at their feet, this caused a few members to jump, and only seconds before Clint D's torch was fully functional after the shelf incident, it wouldn't switch on at all...no dimming it just died. Sounded as if something didn't want them in there.

The séance was also very interesting. Franco and Garry would keep watch on the four cameras around the tables as we tried to think positive and channel in. Before long, Ange could sense several presences, and then a loud smashing noise seemed to emit form upstairs, in daylight hours the original magistrates court is directly above. But this was way past midnight so that wouldn't account for anyone/thing making noise at that hour. More odd clicking, clinking and dragging noise were heard and the odd draft didn't go unaccounted for.

There is a slight movement here on the crucifix on one of Franco's trigger set ups, of course before we get excited we must look at the logical side first.....but you never know!

All in all this was a fantastic spot to visit, steep in history also, we are grateful to Kevin for letting us have access and are looking forward to returning there in May, keep checking back for updates in this investigation and the forthcoming visit to the Gaol.
