We really couldn't turn down this opportunity to investigate this site when we were suddenly presented with a chance, we took it and considered ourselves lucky. Access to the castle site is rarely given to investigation groups, funny enough Living TV are the only group to gain access at all in recent years.

Bolebroke Castle was the Royal Hunting Lodge of none other than King Henry VIII, located in the Ashdown Forest, not too far away from Edenbridge Hever Castle stands the onetime home of a certain Anne Boleyn.
For our investigation we would have to wait for a night when the hotel was not holding a function or hosting any guests.
Music to our ears of course. So on short notice we snapped it up and were very grateful for this.

After the usual site walks and set up of our equipment as well as a brief tour with the landlord followed by a swift cuppa here and there it was time to get down to business! The teams were split into 3 groups 4, 3 and 3 , each with at least one sensitive and one sceptic, the intention being to rotate the sceptics around the teams throughout the night.

During one of the first vigils by landing one of our sensitives felt there was a presence in the corridor but that they were holding back.
Despite much coaxing by the team no further contact could be made, no apparition.....damn!
Strangely a small display of little blue lights were seen with the naked eye by more than one member and some cold drafts, but nothing else.
Later on Hayley described the feeling as though something cold had brushed her leg. A distinct cold draft was noticed at one point during this vigil.
The simple explanation for this was that it came from the chimney, or so we thought post vigil investigations found that the chimney had been blocked off, interesting huh?

Hayley then had strong feeling of a figure standing to her left hand side, which then became really icy cold.
Time for vigil 2 a change of locations and on we go, Clint S and Craig went to the stairs, then to to the second floor.
Again an icy cold presence was noticed again with a strong male presence.

One particular Vigil on the Stairs that involved, hayley, April, Garry and Clint D was very active indeed as far as orbs were concerned and presences, at one stage Hayley felt a very strong male presence on the staircase, this was then followed by a wonderful display of orbs on film, in fact we had video footage of orbs right from the start, shortly after this Hayley developed an intense headache and had to lie down, shortly afterwards she came running back from our base camp and said that she felt a perverse male presence encroach her on the bed as soon as one of our male members had left the room.

As usual we would like to express our thanks to the Lord of the Manor of Bolebroke Castle for generously allowing us to visit this rarely investigated site. We are extremley grateful for the hospitality and their trust in giving us almost the complete run of the place and access to the private haunted areas for the night.
