It may just appear to be a ruin sticking up out of the middle of nowhere, however it has become a very popular attraction for SPRG. After heraing about possible spooky goings on, it sounded like good news to us! The light was already beginning to fade once we arrived so there was no time to waste. All wrapped up snugly it was time to get to business. The only real way of seeing is of course by torchlight, of which we had plenty as it hasn't been uncommon for us to suffer quick battery drainage, for some reason ghosts or spirits will feed of electro impulses or energy, and drain power! We came prepared.

Near the Bailey on the site, Angie had noticed a strange atmosphere as our groups moved around the site it was then that there were some odd events transpiring. First was the usual battery drainage, however it had an impact on most group members, we lost two mobile phones, no battery at all, then three torches dying within ten minutes of each other, all within the first hour or so of the investigation. Interesting as new batteries had been installed and charged that morning!

Then what appeared to be a chinking noise, emanated from the motte of which runs underneath the ruin in the above image. Despite a throughou investigation of this area, no clear indication was presented to us on what this could have been. Almost two hours in, and the weather began to play up, and didn't really do us any favours for our investigation here.

To round of the evening some of the members took a quick jaunt to the graveyard area at the parish on the site. Mainly due to reports of high EMF readings and hot/cold spots during a one off visit by one of our members on a previous visit. Sadly this time round nothing could be ascertained on this night.
