After having a really active night last time around we were really pleased to be allowed back into the Pub to see if we could experience the same things. We decided to set up our camera equipment this time around and cover some key areas that we felt needed to be looked at. Mainly around the corridor area that leads into room 7. We would have four guests with us for the night, so they were more than happy to hear our stories and be part of the team for the night. I took my group first of all into room number 3 and Angie and Lorraine joined forces with their group to go into the infamous room 7. I had felt that in room 3 that the name Georgina was in someway connected, our guest with us seemed to see the light blocked out temporarily form under the door as if someone had walked past it. Helen was sitting under the window in this room and felt a pressure headache come over her and a slight breeze. However the window was shut and no drafts were found. Helen and Emma were then convinced that my body shape seemed to be changing and my head, as if I was craning my neck to look at everyone. As far as I knew I was sitting still. I swapped positions with Helen, eventually everybody swapped to have a go in "the hot seat" The good thing was that everyone could fully back up the claims of what we had seen, each person seemed to take on a different shadow like form when sat on the bed. This unsettled one or two of us, even our guest! We were trying to think hard about the fact that our eyes may have been adjusting to the dark? Maybe, but when we were backing up what people had also seen it seemed a bit to realistic. We were quite glad for this vigil to come to an end as the visions certainly raised the arm hairs, whatever it was. Angie and Lorraine S didn't really experience the abundance of noises that had been heard last time around in room 7, but the same feelings, a nasty male presence and a feeling of being unwanted as well as an event that would tie in nicely with our group. Sadly one or two of the rooms that we had used last time were out of action. The upper floors of the inn were in the midst of major renovations, so some of the rooms were used as store rooms for paint and tools etc. One of those rooms being room 5 of which seemed very interesting last time around.
After a quick refreshment my group joined with Ben's group to take on room 7 and Lorraine and Angie's groups covered some of the smaller hotel rooms, room 3 being one of them. We had decided to sit in a circle on the floor in room 7. No noises for us either in the room compared to last time out, but it did feel very unwelcoming again. Oddly enough, this "shape shifting" phenomena that my group had experienced in the first vigil seemed to be on show again. April became quite unsettled about the look of Lorraine N sitting in a chair, more members of the group could clarify this and at one stage April commented that Lorraine N looked like an aggressive man and looked in her direction. Interestingly this is what Angie and Lorraine S had experienced in vigil 1. Angie being the one sitting in the chair and "changing". I had picked up a phrase that seemed to keep saying over and over "it's mine" Angie had picked up on this last time around. The group in room 3 had noticed the same breezes or cold snaps felt in the room, the other rooms were quiet unfortunately. The building felt completely different to the last time around, not as imposing and we had all commented on the fact of the lack of audible activity, perhaps they didn't want to play this time?
After a quick break Angie and Lorraine S covered the cellar area, Angie seemed quite disturbed after coming back up to the bar, saying that things felt as if they were being hidden down there, or covered up, again she had the feeling of unwelcome down there. I took my group down to the small cellar under the main staircase. Apart from feeling cold down there, nothing really to report, apart form a feeling of some illegal shenanigans. I had felt that it seemed that the area would have been used to stash goods maybe for smuggling, there was also the feel of a foreign connection down there too. The group wandered the pub and the bar area to see if they could find anything else before deciding that we should all try room 7 together for our final vigil to see what we could get. Nothing this time the whole room seemed very quiet and almost at peace. When you leave this pub however you still feel as if someone is keeping an eye on you from afar, it has a very odd feel to it and that is what is quite intriguing about it. Not as eventful at last visit, mainly residual energy being picked up I'd say. But as I said something is still here and it's not going anywhere just yet.
Big thanks to Katie and Ellie for letting us in again and for sharing your experiences, and to our guests hope you enjoyed your night. Finally to the echoes of the past we leave you in peace. Until next time. SPRG.
