This area is notoriously known for tragic and odd goings on throughout history. Ok the name doesn't help it's cause, but it's not irony I can tell you. We were informed that other paranormal groups had investigated this place, and so the story goes many have not stayed very long and have left rather quick, and rather spooked!
Numerous accidents have happened on the
road outside the church which is odd. The road twists and turns around which the
church is located, people have been baffled for years about why so many
accidents take place here.
A Tree stands in a small lay-by which bares the scars of the accidents where the
Cars and a Motorcycle have hit it, some with fatal consequences. These seemed to
have happened in recent years, to keep us safe we decided to avoid investigating
the tree, which is not easy to do anyway with traffic passing close by in almost
complete darkness.
It wasn't long before some very, very interesting pictures became evident to the group once we got started. Franco was snapping some shots in the graveyard, when the image below was captured, no mist or ground fog was present, and no one was smoking! It seems to be what is known in the world of the paranormal as a vortex, this is the early manifestation stage of a ghost, as you can agree its very striking.
The image sparked excited conversation amongst
the group, and it wasn't long before we were treated to our next beauty!
See below.
Look closely at the picture on the left, then the slightly enhanced enlargement of a portion of that picture on the right. You can make out a female face, and her hair. This picture was taken spontaneously, nothing at all was visible to any of the group. The bright light is one of the group in a high visibility vest by the way, so ignore that.
One of our sensitive's made contact with a spirit is just in front of the bright
spot and was indicating that she could see a female figure in front of her, but
this figure was nervous of our presence, Liz told us. Shortly after this picture
was taken she apparently moved up the path behind where she is standing and up
to the road where we lost her.
She appears to be a little shorter than most of us in height, which would make
her roughly about five foot six. Her age is not obvious, but she seems to be
quite young twenties to thirties maybe?
So what is it? a clever reflection into the camera or a mist? Bear in mind from
a previous image, we stated that no mist was evident that night, and with Liz's
strong feelings of a female prescience, it all seems to make sense, but who
knows, definitely pleased with that image We can tell you!
Those who live in the west Sussex area would have seen a report on this
investigation in the West Sussex County Times, along with the few moments later
picture in colour as shown above. We are very, very grateful to WSCT for their
kind words and the chance to publicise our activities to a wider audience, one
of our key goals as we look to expand to the masses. Thanks Guys.
Thanks again to all SPRG members who braved a rather edgy night at doomsday church, we will return!
