The team arrived promptly at 19:00, after meeting at the nearby Plough Inn.
No alcohol though, we don't partake in an alcoholic beverages before investigations, it wouldn't be fair.
As usual were met by Chris Tucket who confirmed the details of where we could and could not go and do and importantly what we could not photograph. We had discussed that we would like to do a vigil in the secret passages where a young girl called Rosie is supposed to hide away. She is supposed to keep her favourite doll in a wooden box tucked down one half floor behind the stairs.

The box that sits in this pretty inaccessible part of the building has been put there in recent years to replace one that was removed some time ago, on the advice of a visiting psychic. Access may be fine for Rosie of course, she can pass through the walls, but for two paranormal investigators its not quite so easy. This part of the building is very confined so it was decided that a laptop with a Webcam attached would be the best way to record activity in this area.

Of course one problem is that there is no electricity in the secret passages or for that matter many other places, like the top of the stairs. But we came ready prepared with a whole lot of cable and a wireless network just for situations like this one, we've got the lot! We had a night vision camera installed to watch the stairs down to the first floor landing. This same camera was also well positioned to monitor access to the upper entrance to the secret passage as well as the entrance to Chris's flat above us. After we got ourselves into place and comfortable we set to work, calling for Rosie, talking to her telling her about ourselves and why we were their, and about our own Children. While we did not get an apparition Ange was able to feel her nearby, but she would not come any closer.

Two odd events occurred during the vigil, firstly the wireless network went down and only returned to life after the vigil finished, all by itself. This is often used and has never behaved in this way before even at much longer distances, interesting. The other event was irregular white marks on the video, later footage does not have this feature. A further test has been carried out using the same configuration, this was done to test our theory, again no marks occurred. Perhaps Rosie was trying to make her prescience felt and left her calling card on video or there could be a more plausible explanation. Again no real answers, you cant help but wonder though.

Numerous trigger objects were placed on A4 sheets as always and drawn around by the sceptics about both the main house and the Gatehouse, all in carefully chosen locations. Two of the objects in the main house displayed movement, which we are not able to fully explain, none of the others moved at all. It's possible that one object may have been tampered with by a door swinging back hitting the cabinet in the room to the rear of the Kitchen where it was located. These things have to be taken into account. The other trigger object movement occurred to the object located in the Dinning Room which was in exactly the same place as on a previous visit, coincidence? who knows. During both visits this object has been moved, although without video evidence we cannot claim this to be definitely paranormal. It is however interesting that we had strong EMF readings and an Orb close to the same area during one of the vigils.

At this point we would like once again to express our grateful thanks to Chris Tucket and all of the people at Michelham who made our very enjoyable return visit possible. We are very grateful for the hospitality and assistance given to us and the trust of all concerned in giving us the run of the place once again

We hope to be seeing you all again on September 16 2006!

Many Thanks from all of the SPRG Team Members and Guests.
