After doing Woodchester it was nice to do a house vigil, somewhere where we can really go to work. Clint S had been in contact with the residents Martin & Lisa who had spoken to Clint S about the paranormal and what we do. Martin had explained to Clint of some odd goings on and was only to happy to have us along for a vigil. Some of the phenomena were things like flickering lights, cold spots and footsteps heard around the stairs and landing. As this was private investigation the exact location will not be revealed in respect to the homeowners and residents of the surrounding area. The team arrived in its usual convoy after a nice sunny day. Martin & Lisa were very welcoming to us and we still don't know to this day how so may teas and coffees were made and distributed so quickly! Angie and Lorraine S had been at the property the previous night doing some dowsing and crystal work. There was a lot of responses to the crystals and dowsing rods on that night and unexplainable noises as well as strange feelings! Some of these feelings were picked up by a few members of the group as soon as they entered the house. A walk round was conducted and baseline tests completed too. There were a few odd temperature fluctuations note but nothing really untoward. On the walk round a few members picked up dizzy feelings and felt some pressure around eyes and in their heads. In the main bedroom the air felt particularly thick.
The base station would be set up in the main living room. One camera would be pointing form the living room down toward the games room, another facing up the stairs in the hall, camera three upstairs in the main bedroom and camera four in the ding room pointing into a corner of specific interest. Whilst setting up we decided that the seance should be held in the dining room later on. Angie, Lorraine S, Clint S, Helen, Emma and Lorraine N made up the first group who headed up stairs to the main bedroom. Clint D, Liz, Ben, Adel and Amy took the games room. Craig took monitor duty. Martin and Lisa chose to join group one in the bedroom. Before we got underway two digital cameras lost battery power. Both cameras were fully charged as the group arrived! The group upstairs seemed to be getting some information through Angie thought the name Mary was important, Hubert, and Arnold seemed to be of some importance. Lorraine S felt sick and uncomfortable for a period. Angie and Lorraine felt Howden or Bowden were a significant surname. Whether this has a connection to the house has yet to be confirmed. Norman was another name picked up on. Angie felt Norman had a son (John) who is still alive today, but he had another son who had passed. Angie felt that lifejackets were significant. Mary who was picked up earlier, according to Angie, would have lived next door at some stage.
The group downstairs in the games room had a few odd noises emanate from a corner of the room where Craig and Clint D had experienced a very loud audible noise during the setup. Liz asked if anyone had gone outside on the patio as she saw a shadow walk past the window. The odd thing was the lack of noise i.e. footsteps. Every so often the room would take on an odd feel and then subside. Craig had noticed a multitude of orbs on camera. Some however could easily be identified due to dust. But there were some anomalies that had strange characteristics. Quite a good start, after a quick break. We decided to do the séance next. Martin had kindly given us a jacket of a previous owner who lived there, now deceased. Norman. In a sad tale it is never really known why Norman upped and left the property but all his belongings were left behind including boxes of black and white photos, a couple of which were used in the séance. This strange disappearance remains to be a mystery at the house. Before beginning friends of Martin and Lisa arrived to join us for the séance. Before it began Angie picked up on a male presence that was bending down toward the fire place. The specific corner of the dining room had taken on a strange feel, almost a being watched kind of feel. Sadly the séance wasn't very eventful. The energy around the circle and the group felt fine and strong. There was the occasional breeze around the table, whether this was energy or drafts around the house, that's still to be confirmed. No movement on the Ouija, we decided to call an end. An extended break was taken before we decided to swap locations for the next vigil. Angie's group took the games room, Clint D's group covered the main bedroom area. The house at this point had a feel of calm to it. The bedroom very quite and didn't have the macabre feel to it that it had earlier on. The group in the games room noticed some odd temperature fluctuations. From 22 degrees rapidly down to 17 degrees. A few members felt queasy. Angie and Lorraine had sore agitated throats too. Mary was picked up again as well as the name June. Angie believed that they were related. Angie and Lorraine began to feel very ill and picked up Arnold again, and a horrific accident. Arnold had lost two of his children in a farming accident involving a horse. As the group upstairs finished their vigil Angie and Lorraine were carrying on and asked if Clint D would join in and make a small circle. Angie asked if the information could be passed from her and Lorraine S to Clint D. Clint D picked up on an accident and a deceased little girl, the image seemed to shake up and disturb Clint D who trembled and felt unwell. It was decided to end this min vigil as it was getting a bit emotional. The good thing was that Clint D had verified what Angie and Lorraine S had experienced too.
After relaxing and chatting with Martin and Lisa, we decided to draw things to a close and perform our clearance on the house. As far as physical evidence we had obtained lots of strange feelings and a barrage of information form this property and the area around the house which clearly is steeped in history. We at SPRG would like to thank Martin and Lisa for having us and being so friendly and welcoming, you hospitality was five star! Thanks for letting us into your lovely home and turning it upside down, hope we put it all back that way it was. Finally thank you to our astral friends who stopped by to give us the information we so greatly appreciate, we hope your in a better place now. Until next time.
