We had been contacted via our website from a family in Horsham that seemed to be experiencing some rather odd happenings in their home. This family even went to the press about their problems and made an announcement that they had contacted us at SPRG to help. Originally the eldest son of the family seemed to think that he and a friend had bought a nasty entity back with them from a recent camping trip. However a prior meet up with the family, declared that nothing nasty had come back from the camping trip. Angie, Lorraine S, Clint S and Liz found this out upon meeting the family for the first time. The mother of the house was comfortable for us to do an investigation and the date of the 8th November was decided. We arrived to the sound of fireworks crackling all over Horsham and the family seemed a bit apprehensive and excited all at the same time. From the initial visit it had been established that the activity was centralised around the daughter in the house. This could have stemmed form an event in the past or a current issue.

As we set up Garry and Clint S conducted a baseline test there were a few jolts on the EMF meter but nothing to send in crazy. A few interesting temperature fluctuations were picked up however. As the equipment was being set up a few members of the group carried crystals around upstairs to see if they were to get any movement. Angie and Lorraine S picked up on a male presence who seemed to be almost a "protector in the house. Angie believed that whatever entity this was it was centralising itself around the eldest son of the house and not the daughter as originally thought. In the mothers room there seemed to be a presence of a lady that was picked up on. Lorraine S seemed to think this would have been the grandmother, however her presence was weak and being stopped by whatever else was manifesting itself in the house.

A very oppressive and sad feel was picked up in the daughters room, and the crystals were swaying to indicate something was nearby. Outside the daughters room a loud bang form the floor was heard by a number of people upstairs. Some good information already, it was time to get underway. Garry to monitor duty for the first hour. Angie, Clint S, Emma and the eldest son covered his mothers room. Liz, Helen, Lorraine N, Ed, guest Tod and the mother of the house covered the lounge, and Clint D, Lorraine S, Adel and Ben along with the daughter covered the landing and stairs area. The group in the lounge picked up on a few knocks and scrapes. Garry noticed a few orbs upstairs on the monitors. Angie picked up on a box that was of some significance to the family and a ship, and also something that was being hidden in the family too. This was later clarified by the mother of the house. The group in the mothers room then heard a series of bangs which were backed up by the group on the landing and stairs area. Clint D tried the EMF meter which went off the scale at one point and then died down. The whole landing area took on a very unpleasant feel indeed. Lorraine S seemed very spooked at one stage when she seemed to think that there was a energy around the daughter. Lorraine S then had to walk away as she and Clint D noticed that the daughters face had taken on a very odd look, it certainly wasn't her face. It seemed as if something was trying to work through her. The daughter was a tad upset by this at one stage so the lights had to go on for a brief period. Certainly an eventful first hour.

The group regrouped in the lounge and a mysterious handprint was noted on the living room floor, no one seemed to noticed it before the lights went off, so whether it was there before this has not been clarified. A quick drink and it was onto vigil two. The group that had the stairs and landing area joined the group who went to bedroom and went in the eldest sons room, as some very negative energy seemed to be emanating from this room. The group that was in the lounge covered the stairs. Several members of the group had noticed flashes of light, and an almost yellow flash of colour which made several members feel slightly nauseous. With this Angie picked up on a travelling man, that may not have a connection with the house but may have passed through the area at some stage in the past. The eldest son was spooked once or twice thinking that something had touched him, nothing was picked up on any of our cameras. The energy was very draining in the room for this hour Adel had to leave through feeling unwell. The group on the stairs heard a series of knocks and sounds and soon joined up with the group in the eldest sons room. The hour certainly had an effect on certain members, so an extended break was needed before the séance.

For the séance we decided to change things slightly and stand in a large circle in the lounge to try and keep our positive energy flowing and protect ourselves. The family and guest all decided to take part. A prayer of protection was conducted and we were underway. At first there seemed to feel like a breeze going around the circle and Angie began to pick up on a tall figure in a hat, and at least two more entities. Black swirls were also noted by a Lorraine S and Ed above the heads of certain people in the circle. Ed had to sit out at one point through feeling unwell, then almost immediately when he rejoined, Helen almost passed out and had to be sat down and told to rest up. She looked in quite a bad way. The rest of the séance consisted of sparks of light seen around the room, and figures seen, Angie came up with the name Harold, no link with this name was made to the family. After the séance the events had clearly affected Ed and Helen in some way. They seemed very drained and tired from it all.

Time was pressing on and Clint S reiterated with the family about the clearing procedure that we would do to make sure they were happy with it. They had all suffered for long enough, so were grateful that we could do something about it. The clearing ritual is only to be undertaken by people who fully understand what they are doing and know how to conduct this successfully. All in all the ritual took around half hour or so. We then began to pack away and were happy to talk to the family about the night and there experience.

Since the investigation we have since heard form the family that everything has calmed down in the house, and the family are all sleeping in their own beds and are not afraid anymore. It sounds as if SPRG have done another family proud. We would like to thank the family for allowing us into their home, it can intimidating but we are in it to help and we can say that we really have.
