This was a different night for SPRG as we were teaming up with Andy West and his team at Surrey Paranormal. Of which Clint S had help recently set up. Andy had secured this location and kindly asked us along to work with his team. The grounds contain a farmhouse of which we were very grateful to be allowed to investigate there first for two hours, and derelict cottages of which go back to the 16thC. The cottages were in the stages of being renovated within the last thirty years and due to legalities they were abandoned and haven't been touched in over twenty years, sadly now slowly decaying. Due to the kindness of the landowner allowing our access I (Clint D) have decided not to include a specific location, or any pictures out of respect for him and his privacy.
The rest of Andy's team arrived and we made a start in the farmhouse. A lovely building, and the reception room would have probably been a kitchen at some stage, an original Victorian (maybe earlier) cooker was in this area, and the building seemed to ooze atmosphere. We took the first vigil in a large room on the first floor. We joined hands and opened up in the way that Andy's group do and continued to hold hands and build up on our energies. Before long, the circle was coming up with an abundance of information. Several people picked up an unhappy housemaid, maybe she would have been the head maid, and she would have treated her staff poorly. Angie and Lorraine picked up on the names: Daisy, Nelly, Dolly and Gloria. Maybe they had a connection with this lady? A gentleman was then picked up on by several members in the room. It was felt that he would have had a connection with accountancy and the military, also being prominent between the 1940's and 1950's. A member of Andy's group also felt that a lady had passed in this room.
There was a good feeling around the group after the first vigil so we moved upstairs to a main bedroom, where things had been known to be thrown and move. The house was in the stage of redecorating in some areas so for know this room was being used for storage, but you could get a sense of what it would have looked like. I felt that the name Edward was important to this room, Lorraine S agreed and also felt that the name Gracie was significant too as well as a boy named Jack who would have been around six or seven years old. I felt that Royal Blue was a vivid colour in this room, whether or not this was connected to a person or the room is another matter. Angie and Lorraine felt that the Jack character was awaiting his fathers return from the navy. We moved on afterwards up to a bedroom where the homeowners grandchildren stay. One of the grandchildren had said that she had seen a bulky character of a man walking in the room and around the area, intrigued we headed to the second floor to look at this room. There certainly was a feeling of unease in the room and Angie, Lorraine S and two members of Andy's team had all picked up on a trap door in this room and some form of an attack. To our amazement the existence of a trap door was confirmed in the exact spot Angie was standing. We moved into a room next door of which Angie was drawn to. This room was tiny with an uneven floor and ceiling. But several people felt unbalanced and dizzy in this room, Angie felt she wanted to lie down. One of Andy's sensitive's suddenly felt he wanted to be really aggressive, and that he blamed drink. He almost seemed to go into a trance and become very passionate. When questioned about why he felt mad, he said it was due to his wife. Angie then felt that the wife character was proclaiming her innocence. The year 1900 seemed to match this incident. The name Richard was also confirmed for this man. He seemed to get really aggressive and then felt as if this "Richard" character had passed through and left the room. I must say it was very intense, and everyone seemed to feel drained from this. Angie felt that a child was connected to the room too, and was trapped somewhere in the "dark." After an intense hour or so time for a break.
Before we went to the cottages Andy took us on a walk to a section of the A22 where a number of sightings have been reported on a specific section on the road. On the way to the A22 Angie and Lorraine felt that a struggle would have taken place and a chase along the small path we were on, and two women would have died. One of these women are said to have been seen many times at night on the side of the road staring into the woods opposite. I felt also that a female would have staggered down this small path with no shoes and collapsed in a bush. We were pleased to hear that this was verified. Along with what Angie and Lorraine had felt to do with a struggle and chase, Andy seemed very pleased with what we had picked up.
Angie and Lorraine seemed to think that these incidents were unresolved and felt very sad around this area. We decided to head to the cottages for the final part of the night. Andy led us to the Cottages, great care was needed at this time as it was now dark, and some areas were very unsafe, so we stuck together in areas that were deemed safe to be. We gathered in a living room at first, which had the feeling of a lost girl in it who needed moving on, this lifted the mood and atmosphere in the room too. A few people picked up the feeling of someone being beaten outside the cottage. This hasn't been confirmed. We moved upstairs for the séance. A limited number stood around the table and the rest formed a circle around us. There wasn't a lot of glass movement, but some, and we haven't had "some" for a while so that was good, everybody really connecting. Ben felt there was a feeling of a man present who didn't seem to be happy with our presence. A sensitive for Surrey Paranormal felt that some odd happenings had transpired in that room, maybe even black magic. The room definitely took on an uneasy feel. Surrey Paranormal decided to do another vigil, but after the séance we decided to call it a night and head on home. All in all a great night, a lot of information and great co-operation with a great team.
Thanks again to the landowner of the farmhouse and cottages and for being so charitable and letting us into your home. Big thanks to Andy and the guys at Surrey Paranormal for setting this up we look forward to working with you all again really soon. Finally thank you to our visitors who just cant stay away from the cottages and it surrounding area. Until next time.
